EXPLORING BUSINESS & ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Exploring Business and Entrepreneurship is designed to explore the nature of business in a international economy and study related careers in fields such as financial services, fashion merchandising, information systems, marketing, office systems technology, public relations and travel & tourism. Emphasis is on using the computer while studying applications in these careers along with problem solving and thinking skills. Communication and mathematics skills are reinforced as students explore business applications and careers. Work-based learning strategies, appropriate for this course are service learning, job shadowing. Simulations, projects, teamwork provide opportunities for application of instructional competencies. The course contributes to the development of a career development plan.This is a project based course with emphases on various computer software, careers and marketing.
